Terms & Conditions

When booking a time slot at Ruff Ground all clients (including anyone attending the booking with the client) are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:

Bookings:

  • Clients are required to enter and exit Ruff Ground within their booked time slot.

  • We have a gap between bookings to try to prevent two bookings from ever being in the car park at the same time. Please leave the car park promptly at the end of your session to ensure that this gap remains for the safety of everyone.

  • The main gates will be left open for your car to enter the main field - these gates are currently under repair therefore please do NOT let your dog off until you are in the enclosed paddock within the main field.

  • It is a condition of hire that all clients clean up after their dog using the bins provided and biodegradable waste bags.

  • Card payment will be taken at the time of booking to secure your slot. 

  • The hire charge is correct at the time of booking but may occasionally change.

  • If you arrive late for your booking you must still leave within your time slot.

  • It is the responsibility of the client to check they have received a confirmation email prior to arriving at Ruff Ground.

  • Please leave Ruff Ground in a clean and tidy condition.

  • There are no lights at Ruff Ground so please do not book in the hours of darkness.

  • No admittance to Ruff Ground without a booking.

Cancellations:

  • You may cancel or no-show to your paddock hire booking but refunds will not be available. You may swap your time/session to another one providing you contact Holley to arrange this.

Dog Health and Behaviour:

  • Please do not bring dogs with illnesses such as kennel cough or sickness and diarrhoea.

  • Ruff Ground reserves the right to cease any hire agreements with immediate effect should we deem any dog to be unsuitable due to their behaviour or health condition.

  • Dogs are never to be left unattended in Ruff Ground.

Children:

  • Children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times. This is anyone under the age of 18.

  • Please do not allow children to climb on the fence, gate or equipment.

  • Ruff Ground accepts no responsibility for any children on the premises.

Water:

  • Water is only sometimes provided therefore please bring your own water for your dog.

Safety & General:

  • Please keep dogs on leads when walking to and from the carpark and ensure Ruff Ground gate is properly closed before letting your dog off the lead. Dogs must be kept on leads when in the car park. A longline will always be provided within the paddock for those dogs that are likely to jump a 4ft fence. Use of a longline on your dog is advisable within the paddock until your dog is used to coming back to you. Larger dogs/dogs that jump fences must take extra care to be safe. The long-line is in the trailer.

  • Do not touch the horses or the electric fence.

  • If you arrive early for your time slot please wait in your car until your booked time slot. Under no circumstance get out of your car until the previous client has their dog back in their car.

  • Never enter the field if it is in use, please contact Ruff Ground immediately if you experience someone staying past their booked time slot or entering the field early.

  • Please always shut the gate on your departure, even if the next client is waiting, this ensures that all clients have booked. Please do not provide access of this field to anyone else who has not booked.

  • Smoking, open fires and the use of BBQs are not permitted onsite.

  • There are no toilet facilities onsite.

  • We advise all clients to insure their dog for all circumstances including third party liability to cover their period of hire.

  • Ruff Ground is for the sole use of canine exercise/training with your dog.

  • Ruff Ground accepts no responsibility for any death or injury caused to a client or damage to their property when onsite. Clients use Ruff Ground and the car park at their own risk.

  • Ruff Ground accepts no responsibility for any death or injury caused to a dog or resulting vet bills.

Security:

  • Ruff Ground will endeavour to ensure that the field is secure, with regular checks. However, due to its rural location it is possible that the fencing may be compromised by wildlife and strong willed dogs may find away of escaping.

  • Please do advise us of any security concerns and do not let your dog off the lead if you are unsure.

  • Ruff Ground accepts no responsibility for escaped dogs.

  • The fence is 4 feet high, please do not allow dogs to jump up at the fence and gate or dig the ground. If you dog digs a hole please backfill it to prevent an escape route or an injury to others.  

  • Horses will usually always be visible when in Ruff Ground.

  • Ruff Ground is in a rural location resulting in certain hazards such wild animal burrows, uneven ground and slippery/muddy conditions in certain weather conditions. The ground IS uneven.

  • CCTV in operation 24/7.

In order to conduct its business activities, it is necessary for Ruff Ground to act as a data controller with respect to gathering and using the personal data of individuals.

We are committed to safeguarding your privacy, and are committed to ensuring that your information is secure and protected against unauthorised or unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction and damage.

In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, technical and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect.

We do not pass your information on to third party companies.

Ruff Ground reserves the right to alter the terms and conditions without any prior notice.
